Overview
Several updates have been made to the Texas FFA Roster system and processes for the 2022-2023 school year. Most of these changes will be seamless and not have drastic changes on your processes. We hope that these changes will help you better manage your Texas FFA Roster in a more organized and quicker manner. If you have any questions about your Texas FFA Roster, please contact Gwenn Cain at gwenn@texasffa.org.

Chapter Dashboard
A new chapter dashboard has been created to show you archived email messages from Texas FFA staff, chapter statistics and demographics, student account alerts, membership history, and account balances.
|
Account Settings
Updated Account Settings allow for editing your advisor profile and chapter profile, including updating your chapter's Affiliation Program status.
Note - no changes to the Affiliation Program designation are allowed after a chapter submits any students for membership.
|
Student List Management
An updated Student Roster management list now shows yearly indicators like if the Texas FFA year-round waiver is complete for a student, if they've been submitted for current year membership, and if they have any profile information alerts that will prevent their membership from being submitted. You can add students, request/approve student transfers, approve new student created accounts, generate membership ID cards, export your students' contact information to Excel and mark a student as having paid their current year local dues. You can also sort your student list by clicking the header on any of the column names.
|
Student Profile
The updated Student Profile has been simplified to only show pertinent FFA Membership information. Student contact information and demographic data can be updated as well as deactivating a student, transferring them to another chapter, or printing their individual membership ID card.
|
Student Profile Issue Alerts
The Student Roster now shows alerts for student profile issues that will prevent the student from being submitted for membership. These alerts can include things like: Invalid Graduation Year, Missing Address, Missing Race, and Missing Gender. Your chapter's Dashboard and Student Roster page will show a button to review only the accounts with profile alerts and quickly correct those issues.

New Student Account - Advisor Created
The updated New Student page on the chapter roster is streamlined to only show contact and demographic information required for FFA membership. Advisors then how two options to save. The first option creates the new account and returns you to the Student Roster overview page. The "Create Account & Continue" options allows you to quickly enter multiple student accounts sequentially without additional mouse clicks.
|
New Student Account - Student Self Enrollment
The updated Student Access Code method of creating new student accounts has been improved to make it even quicker and simpler for students to create their own accounts in Texas FFA Roster. Advisors can set an access code with a start and end date that the students can then use to create their own accounts. A PDF instructions page can be generated and printed or emailed to your students with the necessary information for them to create their own accounts.
Students can visit https://www.texasffa.org/newmember or scan the QR code found on the PDF instructions. They will then be lead through a step-by-step process that determines if they already have an existing account or to create a new account. New accounts are shown as "Pending Approval" on your Student Roster page for you to review and add to your Active Student roster.
|
Local Dues Management
Local dues collection can now be tracked in your Texas FFA Roster account. A new page called "Local Dues Management" shows a list of your current Active and Junior members with a checkbox for "Dues Paid" and "Notes" for referencing check numbers, cash, etc. An Export to Excel function will allow you to export your Local Dues Collection data to include student names, graduation year, date of dues page and any notes you've added. You can also quickly mark a student as "Dues Paid" on your main Student Roster list.
