Speaking Development Events are designed to develop the ability of all FFA members to express themselves on a given subject. Students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and learn to formulate their remarks for presentation in a variety of situations. The state finals of the speaking development events are held in conjunction with the Texas FFA Convention in July.

All registration will be on-line (www.judgingcard.com) in advance of the event date. Entry fees are $50.00 paid via www.judgingcard.com. 

Teachers must complete the online registration no later than 11:59 pm, June 1. Materials must be uploaded individually in PDF format onto the website at the time of registration. Registration submission will NOT be complete unless all required materials have been uploaded.

2022 State SDE Finalists      

Please use the link above to access the list of students advancing to the State SDE Finals on Tuesday, July 12th.  All contestants should report to FWCC Room 203A at 8:30 AM for the contestant/coaches meeting. Speaking events will begin at 9:00 AM.

*State Officer candidates have been moved up in the order to accommodate obligations for the election process. 

On Stage Recognition: Please report to Awards Seating (Section 318 in the Arena) on Thursday, July 12th at 1:15 PM.  Notification letter is available at the link above.
