USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service - Summer 2025 Internship      
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service would like to share our Summer 2025 internships for students completing dual college and high school courses.

Our student trainee internships are posted on usajobs.gov starting October 16 and continuing through the 18, with a close date within 15 days of opening.
For undergrads, Pathways requires two consecutive summers with NRCS. Recent graduates' full-time careers will be posted on Oct. 21. For recent graduates, it's within two years of graduation.

Teacher Prep Assistantship at UNL- Graduate Degree

ALEC is currently seeking qualified candidates for one Master’s/Ph.D. level assistantship supervised by our teacher preparation team.

Our Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication (ALEC) graduate degrees offer unique opportunities to engage with research and teaching. Our department includes an undergraduate Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication degree, and undergraduate minors in leadership and communication, leadership and entrepreneurship, and agricultural and environmental sciences communication. Our graduate programs include an M.S. degree in Leadership Education and Ph.D. in Human Sciences; both with various specializations, as well as graduate minors and certificates. We are constantly developing and expanding our course offerings and academic programs.  We would love to have you join our dynamic team!

Animal Caretaker Internship Opportunity- Summer 2025      
Summer 2025 4-Week Internship Opportunity – Learn to Take Care of Animals in a Biocontainment Research Facility

June 2 – 27, 2025

Texas A&M University’s Global Health Research Complex (TAMU-GHRC), in partnership with the USDA National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility, is thrilled to announce an exclusive, grant-funded summer internship designed to prepare the next generation of animal caretakers for rewarding careers in biocontainment research facilities.

We are now accepting applications for our program that includes a 4-week, grant-funded internship at TAMU-GHRC in College Station, TX, and covers training, travel support, and a stipend at no cost to the student. This is a competitive program with a maximum capacity of 5 students.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in key areas, including:

Animal husbandry and management in biocontainment environments
The role of animal research in supporting health and agriculture
Core principles of biosafety and biosecurity
Proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Common procedures in a large animal (such as goats, sheep, pigs) biocontainment research setting
 
Please note that applicants must be U.S. citizens and at least 18 years old by the program start date (June 2, 2025) to participate.
