Resources for Incorporating STEAM Into Your Classroom
Are you interested in teaching your students about agriscience research; but not sure where to begin? You’re not alone, and there’s great support available to help you get started with confidence. The Texas State University STEAM AG-ED initiative is an innovative program from the Department of Agricultural Sciences, funded by USDA NIFA (Grant 2021-77040-34881). It is designed to empower high school teachers to seamlessly integrate science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and mathematics (STEAM) into their classrooms.
On this page, you will find a wide range of tools to guide you through every step of the Agriscience Fair journey, from Research 101 and data analysis to ethics and integrity in research. Whether you are introducing students to their first project or helping them refine advanced ideas, these resources are built to support success. Teachers can take advantage of flexible options. Flip your classroom by having students explore videos before class, dive into ready to use lesson plans, or mix and match materials to fit your teaching style. No matter your approach, there are plenty of engaging ways to lead students through the Agriscience Fair process and spark meaningful learning experiences.
