School counselors serve as key influencers in students’ academic and career pathways. Their understanding and support of agricultural education programs can significantly impact student enrollment, retention, and success in FFA.

This award aims to recognize counselors who:

• Encourage student participation in agricultural education and FFA

• Understand and promote the diverse career opportunities within agriculture

• Support students in balancing academic, leadership, and career development experiences

• Advocate for agricultural education within the broader school system

Recognizing these individuals highlights the importance of a collaborative support system within schools and strengthens relationships between counseling departments and agricultural education programs.

From the pool of nominations, the top 12 finalists, one from each area, will be selected and invited to attend the Texas FFA Convention. During the convention, all finalists will be recognized on stage, and one individual will be announced as the overall state winner.
