FFA Week provides a great opportunity to provide local K-5 students with engaging resources to increase agricultural literacy. In partnership with Texas Farm Bureau, we are providing a fun, engaging ag in the classroom lesson plan that can be executed by your chapter members, or elementary teachers.
You chapter members can helps young students to see the world where their food is grown. And how farmers and ranchers touch their lives every day.

Texas Top Ten Lesson Plan
Grade Levels: K-5
Purpose: Students will understand the economic importance of agriculture in Texas and be able to list the top ten crops and livestock grown by Texas farmers and ranchers.
Estimated Time: One Hour

Oh Say You Can Seed
Grade Levels: K-5
Purpose: The student will observe and become familiar with seed parts, the germination process, parts of plants, parts of a flower, the process of pollination and seed dispersal.
Estimated Time: One- Four Hours (varies based off activities used)
