Texas FFA Recognizes First Star Counselor and Star Administrator Award Recipients

The Texas FFA Association recognized the first-ever recipients of the STAR Counselor and STAR Administrator awards during the 98th Annual Texas FFA Convention, introducing two new honors that celebrate the educators and school leaders who play an essential role in supporting agricultural education and FFA programs.
Successful chapters rely on the encouragement and support of school counselors and administrators. These new awards were established to recognize those individuals whose leadership and advocacy help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
The STAR Counselor Award honors a school counselor who has demonstrated exceptional support for agricultural education by helping students pursue opportunities through FFA, encouraging enrollment in agricultural science courses and championing student success.
Likewise, the STAR Administrator Award recognizes a campus or district administrator whose commitment to agricultural education has strengthened local FFA programs through leadership, advocacy and continued support for students and agricultural science teachers.
The inaugural STAR Counselor Award was presented to [Recipient Name], while the first STAR Administrator Award was presented to [Recipient Name]. As the first recipients of these honors, both individuals have set the standard for recognizing the important role school leaders play in advancing agricultural education across Texas.
