Supporters Believe in Texas FFA Members and the Mission That Matters

The 95th Annual Texas FFA State Convention was only possible with the countless supporters who believe in the future of agriculture.
“Texas FFA instills leadership qualities into every member that allows them to be successful in life,” said John O’Brien, Texas Farm Credit Chief Credit Officer. “These are the leaders of tomorrow, and Texas Farm Credit wants to help make that possible.”
The Texas FFA Foundation works to strengthen agricultural education by building relationships with key stakeholders.
Aaron Alejandro, Executive Director of the Texas FFA Foundation, shared that when individuals or businesses invest in the Texas FFA, they are able to support a great cause, get their brand in front of an “incredible marketplace,” and “have the potential to recruit some exceptional talent.”
“What separates our kids from everybody else? In the world of agriculture, if we don’t do our jobs, something dies,” Alejandro said. “That’s the kind of values we are instilling in these kids.”
Mitchell Dale, with McRee Ford, believes the member’s passion and energy call to individuals to support the 95-year association.
“[The FFA experience] is meaningful to members, so that makes it meaningful to supporters,” Dale said.
Dale, who also serves as the Texas FFA Foundation Board of Directors Chairman, finds fulfillment comes from seeing the number of opportunities available to every student regardless of background.
“The return on investment to me is right here, in the heart, and it feels good to serve others and help others to reach some of their potential,” said Dale.
The Texas FFA Foundation hosted the 2023 VIP Breakfast in conjunction with the convention to thank sponsors for their generous contributions and support.
During the breakfast, Bruce Cobb, Executive Vice President at Certified Angus Beef and Vice Chairman of the Texas FFA Foundation board of directors, received the prestigious Passion for Excellence award. This award is given annually to an individual who has demonstrated a passion for serving others.
