“Living to Serve” with a creative twist, the Rusk FFA chapter hosted the Third Annual Texas FFA Convention T-Shirt Design Contest and Sale in conjunction with the Texas FFA Convention.
One hundred percent of profits made from the Rusk FFA service project are intended to go towards Texas FFA and Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas scholarships. The effort has accumulated more than $11,685 for the efforts.

“The idea was cultivated out of the desire to give back to the community,” said Madison Dunn, Rusk FFA Advisor.
The chapter's presale efforts sold more than 1,300 shirts. In addition, while at convention, chapter members staffed an exhibit booth to sell the winning design.
The purpose behind the service project was not only to support members with scholarships, but also, give members an outlet to express their creative abilities.
The design winner Throckmorton FFA was awarded a $1,000 dollar scholarship.
In addition to the service drive profits benefiting ag education, the shirt screen-printer, Dunkerley Design, donated proceeds back to the Texas FFA Foundation in the form of two $1,000 proficiency award scholarships.
