The gavel dropped, signifying the fruition of the 95th Annual Texas FFA State Convention in Dallas, Texas, on July 11, 2023.
The message by state officers encouraged the members to embrace the theme "Cultivate" by finding opportunities to grow in their chapters and within themselves.
"We start off as seeds of ourselves, and then it is up to us to take that leap and grow," State Vice President Joseph Nelson said.

FFA members "learn to do" by aspiring to improve themselves by attending general sessions, participating in leadership workshops, and engaging in state-level competitions.
"And for us, as FFA members, to take root in our chapters, our districts, our areas, and our state to make things better than they already are," the state officer team said.

State First Vice President Bryce Fischer and State Vice President Campbell Offield delivered their retiring addresses sharing how those around them supported and cultivated their personal growth through connection and influence.
National Western Region Vice President Ryan Williamson delivered his keynote address to members with the message of cultivating the courage to try new experiences and follow their true passions.

"It takes courage to say that the status quo of the world isn't our end goal, but rather our passions and interests are," Williamson said.
Members were left motivated to pursue their purpose within the FFA at the session's close.
