The gavel dropped, signifying the fruition of the 96th Annual Texas FFA State Convention in Houston, Texas, on July 10, 2024.
The state officers' opening messages motivated members to adopt the "The Life Abundance" theme, encouraging them to seek growth opportunities within their chapters and personal lives.
“This convention is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and passion exhibited by FFA members and advisors across the state,” the state officer team said. “As we gather during our favorite week of the year, we celebrate the achievements, growth, and community that can be experienced in abundance within Texas FFA.”
State First Vice President Elise Sharp and State Vice President Blake Koether delivered their retiring addresses sharing how those around them supported and cultivated their love of agriculture.
The session also included recognition of new chapters, chapter awards, video remarks from Senator Ted Cruz, words from the Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, a keynote from National FFA Western Region Vice President Emily Gosset, and awarded our AgTexas Farm Credit and AgTrust Farm Credit scholarships.
To end the session, attendees enjoyed a keynote from Granger Smith, a notable author, musician and speaker.
Texas FFA members were left inspired and optimistic for their personal lives and the future of Agriculture.
