As the 2025 Texas FFA Convention welcomed thousands of members from across the state, it also marked a meaningful final stop for Central Region Vice President Mary Schrieber.

Throughout the week, Schreiber energy and heartfelt purpose to workshops, keynotes, and conversations with members. Her goal? To leave behind more than just memories, but a lasting impact.

“Ultimately, why I ran for national office is to practice brotherhood,” Schrieber said. “Wherever I go this year and this week in Texas, that’s always my goal.”

A Wisconsin native, Schrieber has traveled coast to coast during her year of service, representing the National FFA Organization at state conventions in New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, and her home state. Her visit to Texas marks her eighth and final convention before she retires her blue jacket at the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo.

“Every state does things a little differently,” Schrieber said. “The size is definitely the biggest difference. I also really appreciate that midwest nice and southern hospitality are similar but then have some cool differences.”

As her time in Texas came to a close, Schrieber reflected on the energy and enthusiasm that define the Lone Star State.

“The hype of these sessions is unmatched,” Schrieber said. “This is just another level, and I’m very grateful to be here.”
