National Officer Candidate
Wednesday, September 1, 2010 | Author: Jaycee Sleight, Orange Grove FFA

It doesn’t seem like it, but an entire year has gone by since 2009-2010 Western Region
Vice-President Randa Braune was elected at last year’s state convention to run for national office. The 2010-2011 national officer candidate was selected by the National Officer Nominating Committee.

During the fifth general session, Allison Grainger, 2009-2010 State FFA President from Area III, will represent Texas at the national convention in Indianapolis, IND.

Allison Grainger's National Officer Candidate Acceptance Speach

“You are the reason I’m standing on this stage,” Grainger said. “I thank you for your continued support.”

It will be a fun and exciting year for Texas’ new national officer candidate, and Grainger‘s experiences will be with her for the rest of her life. She will be traveling to national convention in October to run for a national officer position against candidates from every other state. Congratulations from every member of the Texas FFA, and good luck in the year to come!
