The Texas FFA Convention celebrates the amazing accomplishments of members, teachers and the agriculture industry. Each July nearly 13,000 Texas FFA members and guests from across the state participate in general sessions, competitive events and leadership workshops.
Be an active part of an unforgettable week of celebration and new experiences by participating in one of our student programs!
Texas FFA Convention Media Program
There are two different facets of the Texas FFA Convention Media program held in conjunction with Texas FFA Convention. The first is the Texas FFA News: Convention Edition, the official online news of the annual event published for FFA members, by FFA members, found at TexasFFA.org. The second facet is The Convention Report, a video newscast scheduled to air during the final general session on Friday, July 10.
There are many different jobs associated with the Convention Media program including editors, reporters, and photographers. We are excited to fill these positions with hard working, responsible FFA members who are ready to learn!

Texas FFA Foundation Ambassadors
The Foundation Ambassadors program is a unique opportunity for chapter level FFA members to meet, interact, and assist our special guests, sponsors, and other VIPs. Each student is assigned to a VIP and serves as their respective FFA host for the week. Ambassadors receive extensive training to prepare them for their week of service. In addition, Ambassadors have the unique opportunity of experiencing firsthand the behind the scene complexities of convention week. The program is not a replacement for a student’s convention experience. To the contrary, serving as an Ambassador should enhance the event.

Texas FFA Chorus
This year the Texas FFA Chorus celebrates its 25th year of providing entertainment for those attending the annual state convention. Selected members dedicate their week to rigorous rehearsals and numerous performances while acting as a voice of unity for members across the state.

Texas FFA Courtesy Corps
The Courtesy Corps is composed of current FFA members who help with various parts of state convention. These tasks can range from helping at guest registration to assisting members find their seats on the arena floor. This experience allows you to see the inner workings of convention that you might miss by just being an attendee.
The 2020 Courtesy Corps application will be released soon.
