MEMBER VOLUNTEERS WITH GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND
Texas FFA member, Chyann Norwood, is living to serve by training guide dogs for the blind as her supervised agricultural experience.

“My one goal with training guide dogs is to make someone else’s life easier,” said Norwood, a sophomore member of the A&M Consolidated FFA chapter. “I wanted to do this program to help someone.”

SAE SPOTLIGHT: TAYLOR SWINSON, SULPHUR SPRINGS FFA
Taylor Swinson, of Sulphur Springs FFA, has been involved in agriculture most of her life, largely because of her families extensive sheep background. This environment sparked an interest in Taylor at a young age and has helped cultivate her SAE, which consist of raising market show lambs to fund agriscience research experiments which evolve from questions in the sheep industry.

NEW CHAPTERS GET A JUMPSTART
The local chapter program is the primary aspect of agricultural education and is the FFA's most vital unit. The chapter charter process can be a challenging task. However, the Texas FFA has a vested interest in insuring that each new FFA program reflects the values and elements of an effective chapter.
